Sarah Jessica Parker’s New Shoe Collection “SJP” Exclusively At Nordstrom

Sarah Jessica Parker or ‘SJP’ is best known for her role as Carrie in Sex and the City. If you have even watched the show you know that her character Carrie is obsessed with shoes. Not just any shoes: Manolo, Choo, Louboutin, Prada, Gucci, and Dior. Girl has champagne taste and the credit debt to match. One of my favorite episodes of Sex in the City is when Carrie finds out she could have had a sizable down payment for an apartment if she hadn’t spend all her money on shoes. Hell, she keeps shoes in her oven. As a result of the hit show, most people think SJP is a style maven. I’ve always admired her style whether I like it or not. She’s got some pretty big fashion cojones so I was surprised when her collection of shoes debuted recently. The collection is full of respectable classics with one or two pop colors thrown in. Not that there is anything wrong with this. SJP is very concerned with you spending your money on classic shoes that will fit many occasions. While I appreciate her practical approach, I was looking forward to a little ‘Carrie’ frivolity. The shoes on the whole are getting good reviews for comfort and quality. Since the collection is exclusive to Nordstrom, you can feel confident in a purchase; their legendary return policy and their top notch customer service speaks for itself. I used to think Nordstrom was too hoity toity for me but after spending some time comparison shopping, they have the same prices as other department stores on most big brand names. They do tend to carry some higher class brands that others don’t so I think that’s how I came by that impression. Without further ado, I give you my top selections from the new SJP collection!

SJP Diana Pump

SJP Diana Pump $365

Italian Leather, 3.5 inch heel, Size 36.5 to 40 EU

These are my absolute favorite. The asymmetric ankle strap is incredibly leg lengthening and makes wider feet look sleek!

SJP Ina Pump

SJP Ina Pump $355

Italian Suede, 3.25 inch heel, Size 36.5 to 40 EU

I love the color on these and the fact that it’s got a solid suede toe box which will give you comfort and keep the shoe from pinching. The strap is also at a very flattering height.

SJP Anna Sandal

SJP Anna Sandal $345

Italian Leather, 3.5 inch heel, Size 36 to 41 EU

The Anna is great because it’s a nude for pale women. Most nudes don’t look right on me but this actually has a shot at sort of blending with my skin. It also has a great shape and set to the strap.

 SJP Jill Sandal

SJP Jill Sandal $345

Italian Leather, 3.5 inch heel, Size 35 – 42 EU

These Jill sandals are just a lot of fun with the high shine and delicate strap detail.

SJP Beekman Grosgrain Clutch

SJP Beekman Clutch $245

Grosgrain and Leather, Convertible shoulder and cross-body strap

I like the size, utility, and color of this clutch. It’s super classic but the color makes it the prefect evening bag for spring and summer!

Overall, I think there are some great pieces in the collection. I appreciate the fact that none of these shoes are over 4 inches in height. I’ll be saving my pennies for the Diana and the Ina! Did you have a favorite from the SJP collection? Let us know in the comments below!

I’m with you…Ina all the way. Who am I kidding? I wouldn’t last 3 minutes in a heel that high! One can dream though!

You never know. I have a pair of Santana heels that are 5 inches and they are the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn at over 3 inches. I can wear them for about 6-8 hours if I’m not walking to much totally pain free!

The shoes aren’t doing much for me at those prices. If I’m going to spend that much I want the wow factor. I am liking the Beekman clutch. I could see myself getting a lot of mileage out of it. It’s classic with a pop of color and I like the option of the cross body strap.

Yeah, I was hoping they’d have a bit more pizzazz, but then again if i’m going to spend 350+ on a shoe I’d want it to be classic and save my trendy purchases for the $150 and under mark! The clutch is really calling to me, I wish it came in Emerald and Sapphire too! Then I’d buy three!

I love the Ina ones! The colour and design is so pretty :-) I admit I would have expected something more out there from’ arrive’ but then the woman is allowed to have an identity outside SatC :-P I’m more disappointed by the names – I have old school sandals that were called ‘Diana’!

I used to walk in high heels like a boss, but then I moved to Switzerland and I switches to flats (mountains and all… not very high heel friendly). I don’t know if I’d be able to walk in these… I quite like the shoes though.
