Sonia Kashuk Radiant Boost Restorative Facial Oil is something you need to buy right now. Don’t even bother reading the rest of the review. Click the name and order from Target right now. I had to drive to 4 different Target’s to find it in the store before they had it online so not all stores may carry it. This is just as good as every big name expensive oil I’ve used or sampled so don’t be fooled by the $15 price tag for one ounce. Lets look at the product description for the Sonia Kashuk Radiant Boost Restorative Facial Oil:
Introducing Sonias first face oil, a luxurious formula that multi-tasks to moisturize, repair and protect skin, resulting in a beautiful, natural glow. Rich in antioxidants, fatty acids and botanical extracts, this restorative face oil will instantly hydrate and nourish the skin, while delivering a dewy, youthful look. The anti-aging formula contains a blend of 9 oils including Sweet Almond Oil to soften, Bergamot Essential Oil to purify, BerryFlux Vita to boost skins moisture, Sesame Seed Oil to condition, Evening Primrose Seed Oil to nourish and regenerate, and Black Currant Seed Oil to soothe the skin. Stabilized Retinol protects against photo-aging and reduces lines and wrinkles over time while Para Cress Flower Extract works to improve skins density and firmness and Vitamin E delivers antioxidant properties. Housed in a sleek glass vial and dropper with a delicate scent.
Sweet-almond, sesame, evening-primrose-seed, and camelina oils (moisturize); bergamot (antiseptic); jasmine absolute (soothing); sea-buckthorn oil and vitamin E (antioxidants); stabilized retinol, a blend of retinol, tocopherol, and sodium ascorbate (fights wrinkles)
1. Packaging: The oil is housed in a mid weight glass bottle. It’s got a black matte screw top opening with a pipette to dispense the product. The top of cap has a small pump mechanism that when open allows you to control the dosing in the pipette and drop it out onto your hand or face. It’s very elegant packaging for a drugstore price.
2. The Formula: Everything in the Sonia Kashuk Radiant Boost Restorative Facial Oil is working for you. There isn’t a single filler or silicone in it. Even the carrier oils are well known for their skin loving properties. You have collagen builders, brighteners, scar reducers, wrinkle fighters, firming agents, and Acne/Rosacea squashers. It’s also chock full of omegas and antioxidants.
3. The Experience: Using this stuff is an absolute pleasure. The packaging helps you dispense the perfect amount. The scent is incredible. If you have used Oilio Lusso (yes, the celeb favorite) it’s similar. It’s got a light Earl Grey tea scent that is steeped in Jasmine. Not perfumery level Jasmine but fresh from the garden. I’m not a huge fan of Jasmine and I love the smell of the oil. It dissipates after about 5 minutes but is very soothing while applying. The oil is very slick while putting it on but it spreads well with heat. You don’t have to work it in for a long time but it does take more time to sink in than some oils I’ve used. It feels a little heavy at first but in about 5 minutes it’s pretty much soaked in.
4. The Results: This oil is very moisturizing. If you are oily you will probably not need another moisturizer. If you have dry skin you will need a lighter layer on top. For my combo dehydrated skin that leans dry, I don’t need another layer on top. I also use 4-5 drops on my face and 5 drops between my neck and chest. My skin tone is more even and bright. I have been using Derma E Brightening Serum before this and it works almost as well. My redness is calmed most days too. As for my few expression lines, they are softened when using the oil. Not quite as well as with my Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repiar so if you have aging skin concerns this might not be quite enough for you. It does help keep your pores a bit tighter. Where I’m noticing a big difference from other oils I’ve used in the past is the translucency of the skin. If you look at children they have plump translucent skin. This helps restore some of that look in a few weeks of use. At least for this 30’s something skin. I also notice a bit more dewiness than with other oils. Not the sheen-y or sweaty type of dewy either. In terms of wrinkles, I have two pesky ones where my neck and chest meet. I can see where I have been applying the oil properly and where I haven’t because the area looks like someone took an eraser to it right in the center. I will have to be less willy-nilly in my application because it is making a difference. My chest is also benefiting from the product. It looks plump and young (It’s about a 15 year improvement)! I expect the results to be even better once my new tube of Sibu gets here. I’m also trying it on my eye area as of last weekend and my eye area is looking very smooth and plump too! No irritation at all!
Sonia Kashuk Radiant Boost Restorative Facial Oil is seriously a product everyone needs to try. It’s especially great for those on a tight budget or who want a very streamlined routine. Since it does just about everything short of cleansing and exfoliating, you could conceivably use just this after those steps. Even though the scent is a bit girly, I’m going to convince my husband to give it a go because I’m sure he’d benefit from a “one and done” type product. I can’t believe this oil only costs $15 and works this well. It’s an absolute steal for an A+ level product. I’m going to keep using it as long as they make it!
