Over the Holidays we decided to take advantage of the good Black Friday deals and upgrade our point and shoot camera to a Nikon Coolpix L330. We got it for $99 and it’s replacing a 5 year old point and shoot that saw us through Europe. It’s not a bad camera, it’s certainly no DSLR but it’s a step up. The most remarkable thing is it takes essentially noise free photos. The only thing I don’t like about it is the battery situation. Instead of a rechargeable battery pack, it’s got good old fashion batteries. If I had known this beforehand I might not have purchased it. It’s a pain in the butt to get the battery cavity closed. I guess the photos are worth it though for the money. Right before Christmas we took a trip to Pike Place Market to get some good test shots. It’s an awesome place to test a camera as it will put it through its paces with lighting situations and there are tons of action or still life opportunities. We were also testing out our new threads from ATA clothing. ATA is a company that offers casual wear with an urban influence but with a mind for all things charitable. Every piece you buy there will go to supporting a charity either of your choice or the sponsored charity for the garment.
I got this tee and 100% of the proceeds go to preventing blindness. It’s a little tight in the bust but fits fine everywhere else so if you are busty size up!
I absolutely LOVE this jacket. It’s a great little layering piece and it’s perfect for keeping you warm indoors but it’s thin enough to go under my big winter parka. I didn’t get any pictures of me wearing it due to an unfortunate cat explosion all over myself. The color looked nice on me too and it’s currently being stain treated for the second time.
Here is the only shot I managed to get before the cat exploded on me. This shot was taken for the purposes of seeing the lip gloss and not the jacket. As you can see it’s greener on me than in the photo. Please excuse my messy office!
Here is my elusive and mysterious husband wearing his Slogan Tee while checking out the port when were finished at Pikes. He absolutely loves it and once again it’s a great layering piece.
Speaking of Pikes, let’s get back to the photos I took with the Nikon Coolpix L330!
I only did very minimal corrections on these shots because my favorite produce stand in the market has the most atrocious lighting. They would probably sell a lot more produce if they had better lighting! I hope you enjoyed the little mini reviews. If you are looking for an easy to use point and shoot the Nikon Coolpix L330 is a good option for those on a budget!
