It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product is a legend in the beauty biz. Every magazine and blogger doth sing its praises. I’d never been too tempted to try it because I was always keeping my hair around shoulder length or just below. It’s been a year and half since I’ve had a haircut. I’ve found a few places that have good reviews by me, but I just haven’t had the money to go hog wild at the hairdresser. My hair has gone from a shorter lob cut to a lion’s mane ending right above the small of my back. I’d forgotten how tangled my hair gets when it’s long. Usually one big tangle by the scalp and one at the nape of my neck on the right side, even if I brush my hair and put it up in a ballerina bun before sleeping. Brushing it out had become a nightmare and resulted in pain and tons of broken hair. That lead me to look for a detangler spray for adults, which is how I came to buy It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product. The list of claims made on the bottle is impressive so I’ll go through them one by one!

What CGR Says
Lets’ face it, ladies and gents, products don’t really “repair your hair” unless they have some kind of keratin bonding process to fill in the microscopic tears. Most products have too large molecules to do anything other than coat the hair shaft making it seem smoother. This certainly smoothes the hair shaft and makes it look less damaged. It’s a whopper of a detangler on wet or dry hair. Worth every penny in that department. It does control frizz too. As for hair color, I can’t say because my hair color is also a year and a half old but I can’t see a single ingredient that might do that. Preventing split ends is a bit far but I’d say it helps prevent breakage. It does make the hair quite silky. It’s also a body enhancing wizard. When I’m applying it and working it into the hair, I can FEEL it getting thicker. It’s not sticky or stiff body either. I don’t use this at the root so I can’t say it would be great there, but mid-shaft to ends is great on damp hair. I’m sure it would work well as a heat protectant as it has ingredients that heat styling sprays generally have.
I will use it on dry hair for any tangles that seem hard to brush out. I use it about every other wash for my hair when it’s damp though since it’s been humid out, I’ve been using it every wash. I haven’t noticed any build up in the 6 weeks I’ve been using it, but I do an ACV rinse every few weeks. My only real problems with this product are the scent and the fact it releases much of my natural wave. The scent is strong and a fake floral smell, which will be fine for many of you but I find it’s crazy strong when working with it. It dissipates some, but it will scent your hair. My hair will go from a 2b/c wave pattern to a 2a, ie barely there waves.
Despite whopping amounts of silicone, this is a good product. It lives up to most of it’s claims and is easy to work with. Smell it before you buy it! Overall, I give the It’s a 10 Miracle Leave-in Product an A- and I will certainly buy it again!
