You guys know I love my Derma E Hydrating Créme as a daytime moisturizer but with temperatures soaring and the Fresh Toner being part of my morning routine it was a little too much of a good thing! I needed something hydrating still but not as creamy. I also wanted a priming effect for my choice too because the Derma E Hydrating Créme made my makeup go on so smoothly. I decided to give the Derma E Hydrating Serum a try. It’s more like a lotion than a traditional serum texture which is pretty much exactly what I needed. Here is what Derma E says about the product:
Deeply moisturize and replump skin to diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This intensive treatment serum delivers a surge of water-loving nutrients deep within skin’s surface. Contains Hyaluronic Acid, ‘nature’s moisture magnet’ — an ingredient that can hold up to 1,000 times its weight in water. Rich with antioxidant Vitamin C, skin-soothing Allantoin and healthy Panthenol, this formula leaves skin soft, smooth, healthy looking and rejuvenated. 100% vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, sulfate-free, mineral oil-free, lanolin-free, gluten free, GMO-free.
One pumps worth is enough for a damp face, neck, and chest!
It does what it says it does. Plain and simple. Nothing fancy, no gimmicks, just hydration that plumps the skin and makes it look fresh and soft. This was all I needed to top off the Fresh Toner and prep my skin for morning makeup. I do use this at night when it’s really hot instead of the Derma E Hydrating Créme because it’s quicker to absorb and dry. Once again, the only thing I don’t like about this is the scent. It’s got the same scent as the rest of the products and that may be a turn-off for some of you. It’s as strong of a scent as say Chanel products, so it isn’t over the top, but that may be a non-starter for über sensitive skin.
For an effective, cruelty-free, hydrating product that lives up to the claims you can’t beat this one for the money. This is perfect for people who feel a night cream or oil is too heavy as well. A solid B+ rating and a definite rebuy!
