To be honest with you guys it hard not to fill this list up with food! I wanted to talk about a few of the things I’m loving right now that aren’t beauty related or wine. I promise there is more to the world than those things!
1. La Croix Berry Sparkling Water
In the summer, it’s hard not to crave bubbles but soda isn’t thirst quenching. Here we have a natural sparkling water that is lightly flavored to sugar-free perfection.
2. Kevita Sparkling Probiotic Drinks
More bubbles! Earlier this summer I was sick as a dog for weeks and these helped make me feel better. I keep drinking them because they are tasty and they seem to keep my digestion on track if I have a few a week. I’d honestly drink one every day if money grew on trees. My favorite flavors are the mojito, mango coconut, coconut, strawberry acai coconut, and if I’m ill the lemon ginger flavor helps with nausea, headaches, and exhaustion.
3. Puracy and Method cleaners
It has been incredibly hot here and we don’t have AC. When it comes to cleaning the fumes of harsh chemicals and bleach are just amplified from the summer sun turning your house into some sort of sauna-like death trap. These two keep the house clean without the noxious fumes.
On the rare days where it’s cool enough to take a walk in the evening, I’ve been enjoying getting out with the dog and husband. Putting a few miles on your trainers without pouring sweat or needing 32oz of an electrolyte drink after has it’s benefits.
5. Parisian Inspired Stuff
Nike of Samothrace, the goddess of victory. I took this shot in the Louvre. I should edit that guys head out.
My Summer Non-Beauty Favorites comes to a close as I meditate often about my time in Paris. My time in Paris was exceptional despite many obstacles. I’d broken my toe the day before I was to leave for my vacation and I also go some kind of “back to school” flu from the kids at school. Instead of canceling my trip, I went anyway. I was determined to make my two weeks count. I walked everywhere, went to as many museums and sights as possible, and despite being ill, ate all the things I had wanted to eat. It was a very mind over matter type of two weeks. I’ve needed that kind of mental strength this summer. Any tidbit of Parisian inspired stuff helps me when I get down or things get hard from a Spotify playlist based on Parisian cafés, travel videos, or even my own collection of photos from my time. Today’s slice of Paris is brought to you by a Kickstarter video that you can see by clicking here. It’s about my favorite bookstore, The Shakespear & Company, right across from Notre Dame de Paris. If you have 30 minutes, it’s worth the watch.
