The .5 ounce bottle
I can’t believe I’ve never reviewed Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil! I’ve basically been using it now for a little over a year pretty religiously. I was using the Sonia Kashuk oil, but it go too hard to find. That oil is kind of like a cross between Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil and Sunday Riley Luna but not quite as effective. I started buying Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil and I haven’t looked back! It’s a bit pricey for some of you, but I can tell you it’s worth the $50 investment or the $18 for the partial bottle.

The doctor treated me with a pasty orange salve that I later learned was seaberry oil (also known as seabuckthorn). Native to Siberia, this restorative oil has been used for generations as a natural cure.”—Lev Glazman, Fresh Co-Founder

CGR’s Take
You can barely see it, but that’s one drop! My skin is absorbing it while I’m taking the picture!
I can say that this oil lives up to all of it’s claims and more! It’s moisturizing without being heavy and it layers with just about anything you put on top. It does really soften and smooth the skin. It’s very soothing on blemishes or cuts. It actually brightens and tightens a bit too by making the skin function better when using it. Seabuckthorn oil taken internally as a pill or in juice has a similar effect. If you have had other problems with oils not working for you in the past, I’d encourage you to sample this as it’s different to many oils out there.
Even though the brand doesn’t tout Camellia oil in the product, the ingredients show a high concentration of Camellia oil. It’s got a similar molecular structure to our skin’s own oil so it’s easily absorbed and helps rebuild the skin with bioavailable precursors to collagen and elastin in it. It’s also full of polyphenols, vitamin E, and is non-comedogenic.
I use this oil several nights a week in place of a serum. I often don’t use a moisturizer over it unless I’m very dry or flaky. It’s great for lazy days. I often use this as a treatment in the morning as well because it absorbs quickly, you can apply makeup over it within minutes. I also use this oil on any cuts or burns I receive. It soothes the skin, speeds healing, and helps to keep the scar light or nonexistent. It also performs a similar function for blemishes. I also use this on my lips when they are dry and chapped.
Final Thoughts
Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil is one of my favorite oils of all time. It’s perfect for all skins/unisex, smells amazing, and really lives up to its claims 100%! Anytime my skin needs soothing or is a little sensitive, I’ll just use this as my serum or moisturizer and I’m usually back to normal by morning. It lasts a long time, you only need three or four drops of the oil for your whole face. I often blot off any excess with the back of my hands and it’s certainly helping keep them in tip top shape. I give this one an A+ and I’ve already repurchased it twice!

Have you tried Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil? Let us know how you like it if you have!
Sounds like a keeper then! I recently got some grapeseed oil to see if it could compete with my La Mer oil, but sadly the answer is no, lol. I guess I kinda knew it couldn’t be that easy 😉
Yeah, the La Mer Oil is getting a lot of hype but I think you can find better ones for less. I have yet to try it though so I can’t say for sure!
Oh I forgot to mention, grapeseed oil is nice but it’s a carrier oil. Blend it with more active oils and you’ll like it better! It’s great in the bath too.
I love oils in my skincare, and I have been meaning to test Fresh for quite some time now, so maybe this is one of my next purchases. Once I have gone through my stash, that is. So probably 2017?
