My March favorites start off with a bang! My husband got me some jewelry from his last work trip. These are from Old Town Artisans in Tucson. One is malachite and the other is opal and turquoise. Both are in sterling silver. This is my belated V-day gift and my anniversary gift. I don’t have a lot of jewelry so I always love getting new pieces. They don’t make up for my husband being gone all the time but at least I can look snazzy while dining out alone, HAHAHAHA!
Trader Joe’s Mirepoix is a March favorite because it’s the easiest way to start a soup when you’re sick. Just throw in some spices and the meat or carb of your choice with some broth and boom, soup. No standing and chopping for 20 minutes. It’s cost effective and will last in the fridge for a few days in the package.
Sorry to hit you with another Trader Joes item but this Seafood Paella is amazing. It cooks down quite a bit so I’d be careful if you buy only one bag for two people. I can easily eat a whole bag to myself after it’s cooked. Luckily a whole bag is only 440 calories and not too bad on the sodium for a frozen food. It’s been my go-to convenience food. If you wanted to split a bag with someone, grilled bread or some sort of tapas plate before hand would be in order.
Trader Joe’s Almond Croissant is another March favorite because they are pretty good for a frozen food. You let them rise overnight and bake them in the morning. Genius. They taste great, they are low in sugar, and even an idiot can make them with no issues. If you want to look like a brunch superstar, cook a few boxes of these and make an easy frittata or scramble. My husband loved these though he thought they needed powdered sugar.
So there you have it, a little glimpse into my very tasty month. I have a few other March favorites like sunshine, toilet bowl bleach tabs, and easter lilies but they aren’t exactly groundbreaking!
Did you have any sweet finds recently that I might want to try? If so let me know!
