Romantina is a musky composition upon which is laid a delicate bouquet of white flowers. It begins as an ode to insouciance, but suddenly reveals its true personality, flirting with patchouli and sweet notes. The result is an elegant floral fragrance that is reminiscent of a modern romance. It is the portrait of a free woman who loves to seduce.
“For this new episode, I wanted to bring a hint of frivolity into Juliette’s life”—Romano Ricci, Brand Founder and Perfumer
Jasmine, Tuberose, Musk, Orange Blossom.
Soft. Romantic. Young.
The first time I tried Juliette Has A Gun Romantina, I hated it. It smelled like soapy musk on someone with terrible BO. I wore it again to test it and I still don’t care for it but I can at least detect some of the notes. The top notes are orange blossom and tuberose but they don’t stick around too long on me, which is a shame because it’s light and floral but impactful. The jasmine and the musk combine into a soapy, slightly powdery floral scent that over time evolves into some pretty raunchy body smells with a sheer veil of the same florals over the top. It’s how I’d imagine myself smelling after days of eating curry and then running a marathon. Luckily, the whole composition doesn’t last too long on me, 6 hours at best. I love the opening and dislike the dry down. This is odd for me because normally it’s quite the opposite! So far this is the only one in the sampler I’ve disliked.
My personal chemistry has turned Juliette Has A Gun Romantina into a scent I don’t care for. I think on the right person it would be fine. If you like florals with musk it’s a must try. I just noticed they changed the scents in the sampler since I bought mine and this one isn’t in it anymore!
