Earth meets ocean in this green, full-bodied blend with Sweet Fig, Palm, Cyclamen, Moss and Clove, all set in a luscious Sandalwood base. Sensuous and complex, it’s a wonderfully imaginative take on classic fig.
I’ve loved Pacifica Mediterranean Fig Perfume for many years I just haven’t picked it up. I was lucky enough to get it on sale at Whole Food recently in the roller ball. I prefer the spray overall however and will add it to my collection soon. The spray is preferable because it is a little greener and spicier than the roller ball. I’m not sure if this is because I’m spraying it on my clothing and skin and only applying the roller ball to my skin. Either way, I love it!
Pacifica Mediterranean Fig Perfume is not as green as Diptyque Philosykos or as sweet as some of the other famous fig scents. It strikes a delicate balance between green, woody, earthy, sweet, and floral. It’s very much like being in a garden with a fig filled picnic in front of you. I never really get the clove per se, but there is a little underlying spice I like. Pacifica Mediterranean Fig Perfume is a comforting scent with just a little hint of sexiness. It’s a great everyday perfume. The roller ball is very portable and sturdy making it perfect for touch-ups on the go. Even though it’s a perfume strength, I find it only last about four hours on my skin but it last for days on clothes. If it’s a technical fabric, even longer. The development of the scent moves from the green and earthy notes being prominent with the fig playing back up to the fig being the star in the first hour. The other notes never leave, they just take the supporting role.
If you see this at Target or Whole Foods, give it a try! If you are new to fig, it’s not a blind buy as it can be polarizing. If you love fig, you can safely pick this up locally or online at Amazon.
