I just found out the Pacifica Sugared Amber Dreams Perfume came out in 2015 at holiday time, but I just saw it in Whole Foods this weekend. I, of course, doused myself straight away! If you like sweet scents that aren’t overwhelming, you owe it to yourself to try this. The notes are simple: sugar, vanilla, and amber with a minuscule amount of coconut. That is what’s advertised, but I swear I also smell cinnamon and a little tobacco leaf! This elevates the perfume quite a bit and makes it sing. It reminds me of Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Ambre and Vanille Cannelle mixed. I own both scents and often mix them, it’s very close to what I get from spraying on two much more expensive scents. The result of my mixing isn’t quite as sweet, but it also doesn’t have the slight hint of earthiness from the tobacco either. Plus, the bottle has unicorns on it, so I feel it’s like a Lisa Frank cologne! Even though it’s probably a bit juvenile for me, I’m still into it. It’s got low sillage and about a 6-hour lifespan on skin. It smells the same for about four hours and then gets slightly more vanilla scented as it trails off. It really sticks to clothes and hair a bit better but it’s sweeter with less earthiness. It’s perfect for layering over something more unisex or medical to bring in some sweetness.
Even though I’m not a huge fan of super sweet scents, I really like Pacifica Sugared Amber Dreams Perfume as it’s naturally sweet and not chemical in the slightest! If you’re looking for a low-cost gourmand scent definitely pick this up!
